The Garden of the Museum of the Republic was projected by the French landscaper Paul Villon - disciple of Glaziou, during the reform done to the Palace of Catete to receive the Presidency of the Republic, in 1897. Nowadays, it is one of the main areas of leisure you will find in the city, receiving more of 7 thousand visitors on the weekends. The park of the Museum shelters a large quantity of birds and is a small ecosystem with many fruit trees and a spectacular avenue of Imperial Palm Trees. It is a place that encourages one’s reflection mainly for those in need of a pause during the daily frenzy. The park also offers many exceptional theater play, music and dance.
